Performances to be announced.We are looking for singers, guitarists, banjo players, mandolin players, steel guitarists, violinists, bass players, and drummers who have at least two years experience on their instruments. Starting SoonHip Hop AcademyGroup Music CoursesThis is your chance to experience an introduction to creating Hip Hop music. Learn how to create beats, rap, beatbox, and DJ. Use top of the line technology including Serato DJ, Logic, and Ableton Push and more. Become part of the brand new District 112 Middle School DJ Club. Opportunities to perform and to record. From beginner to advanced, you are welcome to be part of this short yet very fun and enriching experience. Watch out Drake, Kanye, Jay-Z, Eminem, Kendrick, Nicki, Juice Wrld, and Cardi. The next Hip Hop stars are about to be born. Due to COVID-19 precautions, only registered participants of activities are allowed in District buildings. Parents are not permitted to enter the facility nor stay to watch practices or activities. Exception: if the participant is 5 years old or younger, one parent may attend. Please keep siblings at home. Instructors will greet students at the entrance before class and return them to the same door when class is complete. Instructors will wear a mask and face shield Anyone over the age of 5 years must wear a face covering at all times – regardless of what activity they’re participating in. Your cooperation will help keep everyone safe and allow us to continue to offer enrichment activities and sports and we thank you in advance.Winter/Spring 2021

PopularMiddle School Honor Band (Grades 7 & 8)Group Music CoursesBe a part of this unique and challenging experience. Enjoy making music with other top musicians from the ECCS middle school bands. Fun music will be selected and members will learn the fun that comes from producing a quality musical performance. Our middle school honor band is available for students who have received an invitation from their band director. 25 students will be selected from each middle school. The rehearsals will take place at that student's school on Thursday afternoons. There is a tentative plan for an outdoor concert with proper masking and distancing considerations put in place. All students from the 3 schools would come together for this event tentatively scheduled for Monday, June 7th.Winter/Spring 2021

Summer High School Garage Band (short session)Group Music CoursesBe part of this opportunity to play in a rock band. We are looking for experienced musicians on guitar, piano, bass guitar, drum set, saxophone, trumpet, trombone or vocals who have just completed grades 9-12 that want to be part of a band. We'll learn a variety of songs that you will help choose from different genres and time periods. We'll perform once at a venue and on a date yet to be determined. This is the short session. Summer Marching BandGroup Music CoursesLearn the basics of street marching, play some fun music, and perform in two or three parades pending the pandemic. Traditionally we have performed in the Chanhassen July 4 Parade, the Chaska River City Days Parade and at Valleyfair. Students should have at least one year of experience playing a band instrument. Open to students who have just completed grades 5-8. If students do not have a tshirt from past years that still fits, they will need to purchase a shirt for $7 and a lyre to hold their music (costs vary between $5-$12).Summer 2021

Play or sing everything from classic rock to the newest rock with other musicians who love it as much as you do.
