  • Child and Babysitting Safety

    Participants will learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible and professional babysitter.  Topics include child development, behavior guidance, supervision, proper feeding and diapering techniques, personal safety, medical emergencies, basic first aid care and fire safety.  Dolls, bottles, diaper supplies will be provided at class for hands-on participation.  The course is developed by the American Safety and Health Institute and approved by the American Pediatrics Association.  Class participants receive a booklet and certification card.  Participants should bring a peanut free snack and beverage to class. 
  • YEL Chess Summer Camp

    All levels welcome. Youth Enrichment League’s {YEL!} summer chess camp works with all levels of students.  Beginners learn Piece Movement, Capturing, Check, Checkmate, Castling and more; returning students study intermediate lessons (Pins, Forks, Back Rank Mates, as examples); advanced students will study Elimination of Defense, Opening Theory and other advanced concepts.
