  • FIRST Tech Challenge

**Teams are based on parent volunteer and space availability. Programs are held at Chanhassen High School and Chaska High School during the evenings/weekends. Once coaches are established, they will notify those registered of what the schedule will be. Most teams meet 2-3 times per week in the evenings/weekends. What is FIRST Tech Challenge? Teams of students collaborate to build and program a robot that competes on a 12' by 12' field. Each year the challenge is designed to encourage students to think critically and expand their knowledge of the engineering process. FIRST Tech Challenge in MN is part of an international robotics program that includes more than 3,000 teams globally. The registration fee includes 1 Regional Event. If a team chooses to attend or qualifies for other events, additional fees may apply to cover tournament costs. If you are interested in starting your own FIRST Lego League (FLL) or FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team, you can find more information here: Visit the FIRST website for more program information.
