CMSW Jazz Band- 6th Grade

Music Academy / Group Music Courses -
Fall 2025

Welcome to an introduction to jazz band for CMSW 6th graders. Students will have the chance to learn about our country’s first original art form including learning to play in a jazz style, improvisation, and playing fun jazz songs. Two concerts including the district jazz festival. Open to students who play woodwind, brass, percussion, piano, guitar, bass, and drum set.

Eric Songer

Eric has been a music teacher in Eastern Carver County Schools since 1997.  In 2021, he was named District 112's Teacher of the Year.  He has grown the after school and summer music programs into thriving, exciting opportunities for students.
