Chan Boys Spring Basketball Skills/Competition SessionPrek-Elementary Sports & FitnessStarting SoonDo you have a son who wants to keep his basketball game sharp after the season, wants to just keep playing, work on skills and get a chance to play some competitive games, and be around other kids? If so, this spring basketball opportunity could be great for you. Who- Boys in grades 2nd-8th 2nd-3rd grade session( 6-7pm) - Session A 4th-5th grade session ( 7:05-8:05pm) - Session B 6th,7th, 8th grade session ( 8:10pm-9:10pm) - Session C Why- To help keep kids active and playing basketball. A great chance for kids who aren’t involved in a spring sport or who have time to play along with their spring sport. (not looking to compete with other in season sports, just giving opportunity for kids to play basketball) What- An hour long session, with a focus on 30 minutes of skill development ( ball handling, footwork, shooting form, etc.) 30 minutes of game play to give a chance to work on skills in a competitive setting, practicing spacing, movement and having FUN playing basketball. Game play will be focused on 3 on 3, 4 on 4 with younger levels with some 5 on 5 with older groups. *Safety- We will follow current protocols in place by district 112 and MDH in regards to COVID-19. We will also have a separate drop off and pick up location to help minimize congestion.Winter/Spring 2021

Chaska Boys Basketball Camp: Shooting CampPrek-Elementary Sports & FitnessThis camp will provide expert instruction in shooting the basketball. We will do a variety of drills and contests led by Andrew Kallman (current Northern State University basketball player & Chaska Basketball Alumni) & Ben Kallman (senior from the 2019-20 Chaska team). Many of the drills can be used for individual improvement throughout the rest of the off-season. Fitness, Mindfulness and Yoga Fun with Fitness BoomersPrek-Elementary Sports & FitnessThis class has a little of everything you need for an active healthy lifestyle! Have fun with a mini fitness boot camp, games, activities, and rhythmic dancing. We will focus on developing a greater awareness of both body, mind wellness and breathing as we learn how to be a healthy person in mind and body. Learn to focus and concentrate on how meditation can help lift mind and spirit. Increase balance, flexibility, agility, coordination, speed and motor skills. Learn about healthy eating habits, good sportsmanship and active life style and encourage personal fitness that can stretch through the adolescent and adulthood. We'll focus on different topics each week, ranging from Love and Kindness to How to overcome frustration and sadness. Please bring a mat if you have one! Ultimate Frisbee TeamHigh School Sports & FitnessUltimate Frisbee is a fast paced non-contact sport that requires a team of 7 to move a disc (frisbee) up a soccer-length sized field into an end-zone. The Chaska Ultimate team was established in 2015 and it continues to grow. A player can expect 2-3 practices per week, one game per week, and possible weekend tournaments. Games will be played on Thursdays, schedule and locations TBD. The team is open to all players in grades 9-12. There will be a Tournament Fee ($79) automatically collected on May 24th if we're able to attend either a State Tournament or regular tournament during the season.
