Youth Day at the Capitol

Youth / Youth Development -
Winter/Spring 2026

Youth Day at the Capitol (YDAC) gives young Minnesotans the opportunity to advocate on the issues most important to them. At YDAC, students develop effective advocacy and leadership skills by meeting with their local elected officials. They use their unique voice to create change where it is most meaningful for them.

The Secretary of State is proud to partner with the Minnesota Alliance With Youth/MN Youth Council , the YMCA's Center for Youth Voice, and other youth development groups to present Youth Day at the Capitol. YDAC teaches young people the power of civic engagement – a core Minnesotan value. We're excited to bring this to ECCS!
