We’ll sculpt a pink piggie and a tiny turtle, learn to draw cartoons, create a comic strip, make cute cactus in painted clay pots, a paper mâché bowl, and have tons of fun. Bring a beverage and a nut-free snack. SkyLens Workshop is an exhilarating camp where young photographers explore the realm of aerial imaging using photography drones. Guided by experienced instructors, students learn drone piloting, capture stunning videos and pictures from the skies, and delve into digital editing on computers. Through hands-on activities, participants unleash their creativity, mastering the art of composition and storytelling from above. Students will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they’ll get to keep after the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. The drones used in camps have cameras, and are perfect for entry level pilots. *Choose to borrow a Drone or purchase your own at a discounted rate! The SkyLens Drone will also work for this camp. **It is preferred for students not to bring their drone from home.
