Experience the charm of Art, Heart and Hoofbeats Sanctuary, a local farm that promotes connection, growth and artistic expression. Join the friendly staff and delightful rescue animals at Art, Heart and Hoofbeats for 2 fall sessions of creativity, curiosity, and connection with animals. Signed waiver required to participate. Participants needing support to participate must have a companion assist throughout the class. Wednesday - September 3rd The Art of Horses: Feel, Connect, Create: Discover how horses communicate, express emotion, and move with us. Enjoy a fun and peaceful experience where the first half of the class is spent visiting, brushing, and learning to understand the body language and energy of our rescue horses. The second half will be dedicated to drawing and painting your favorite horse at the sanctuary. Wednesday - September 17th Sanctuary Senses - Listening, Feeling, & Creating at AHHS: Slow down and awaken all your senses through a guided sensory walk. We’ll explore our 5 senses enjoying the natural soundtrack of birdsong, goat bleats, rustling leaves, and horses breathing beside you. Wednesday: October 29th - Candy Corn Banner & Sensory Dough - Craft a decorative Candy Corn Banner, perfect for Halloween! Then engage your senses and create a batch of squishable, squeezable (& tasteable!) Candy Corn Sensory Dough. Let your creativity abound at the Magnifying Abilities Summer Exploring Art series! Held once a month, this art class will feature a variety of art mediums with opportunities for learning new skills and creating unique works of art. Join art instructor, Theresa Ganzer and have fun creating with your MA friends! All supplies included. Monday - June 30th: Sunset Boat Painting - Learn step-by-step how to create a painting of a peaceful boat on the water at sunset. THURSDAY - July 10th: Mixed Media Red, White, & Blue Art - Use repurposed objects and materials that are red, white, and blues to create a festive unique work of art! Blend luscious phthalate-free and sulfate-free ingredients to make high-quality soaps with oils such as: vanilla, honey almond, sugar plum and more! This class is inclusive to ALL adults! Using Taylor Swift's popular songs and American Sign Language, Instructor Kelli will teach you how to "sing" a song with Sign Language!
