Summer Care Programs Pre-K through 8th Grade
Skip the stove and keep your kitchen cool this summer with this fast, fresh and flavorful at-home cook-along! During this cook-along experience you’ll learn to make delicious Chicken Burrito Bowls using the Instant Pot® or any other electric multi-cooker, and Chef Tess’ personal recipe--perfect for a quick, nutritious, and budget-friendly meal. Cook along in real-time as you build culinary confidence, and discover how easy it is to create a crowd-pleasing dinner with minimal heat and maximum flavor. Handy Instant Pot® tips and tricks for use and care will also be shared! Come join the fun! What are you waiting for? Equipment Needs: Instant Pot® or any other electric multi-cooker.
Participants will receive a list of ingredients for the cook-along recipe 3-5 days in advance of the class to allow time for shopping and prep. This class will take place on Zoom; a free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting.
Note: Instructors recipes are copyrighted and are only shared with those who register for this class. Refunds CANNOT be issued once the recipes/class documents are shared. One registration fee for this on-line Virtual class can include participants from the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.
Tess Georgakopoulos, creator of Dish it up Good also known as “Chef Tess—Culinary Artist”, brings over four decades of cooking and baking experience to her work as a culinary educator and Community Education instructor. Raised in a Greek Family where food was a central expression of love and connection, Tess developed her passion for cooking at a young age alongside her father, a trained chef. Those early experiences continue to shape her approach today—blending tradition, creativity, and deep appreciation for the role food plays in bringing people together.As an accomplished cook, baker, and recipe developer, Tess is continually expanding her culinary repertoire through ongoing experimentation in her test kitchen. She is known for creating thoughtfully designed “gold standard” culinary experiences that combine technique, creativity, and approachability.She currently partners with over 60 public school districts across Minnesota, and additional programs in Wisconsin, Missouri, New York and Oklahoma, and has taught over 5,000 participants. Through her teaching, Tess empowers home cooks of all skill levels to build confidence, expand their abilities, and experience the joy of creating meaningful meals in their own kitchensHer guiding philosophy is simple: to make cooking approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding—helping others “make dishing simple and delicious”.
