After keeping her Copycat Cinnabon® (Cinnamon Roll) recipe a secret for MANY years, Tess has decided to share it EXCLUSIVELY to those that register for this class! She has often been told that her rolls are considered BETTER than actual Cinnabon® rolls. You will love these billowy, warm, luscious, gooey, rolls topped with cream cheese frosting that is out-of-thisworld- delicious. In addition, NEW to her Holiday Dessert class offerings, her version of the Viral Dubai Chocolate Bar! Tess takes the experience to the next level teaching participants how to create their own Kadaifi (shredded phyllo) from SCRATCH costing PENNIES, and her from-scratch version of pistachio cream filling for the chocolate bars! **Equipment needs: A 1” deep silicone Dubai Chocolate Bar mold is needed to create the chocolate bar. The bars can be made with simple melted chocolate. However if a longer lasting shiny finish is preferred, tempering the chocolate is beneficial. If participants wish to temper the chocolate, an instant read kitchen thermometer is needed. Participants will receive a list of ingredients for the cook-along recipe, at least a week in advance of the class to allow time for shopping and prep.   • Crafting Steamed Bao, Korean Bulgogi BBQ Chicken & Asian Pickled Veggies!

    The word “Bao” is derived from the word “Baozi” which means, “to wrap” in Mandarin. Bao buns are often described as “steamed pillows” of deliciousness that are becoming increasingly popular in North America. They are created by freshly steaming yeasted velvety dough, and are then filled with a variety of fillings. During this fun-filled class participants will learn to create delicious Steamed Bao that will be used “to wrap” almost like a little “jacket”, the fantastic filling of Korean Bulgogi BBQ Chicken, and a wonderful variety of Asian inspired quick pickled vegetables! What fun! Everything from the Bao, the Korean Bulgogi BBQ chicken and the pickled veggies will be made from scratch in a guided step-by-step fashion, making for a fun, exciting and memorable experience.     The Minnesota Hot Dish (elsewhere called a casserole) is a one-dish supper (or side dish) baked in your oven using a single piece of cookware. We will use fresh ingredients (no canned soups) for easy preparation for a family meal, impressive company fare for friends or crowd pleasing recipes for pot luck. Many of these hot dishes can be made ahead, chilled and then baked. AND there is minimal dishwashing! Join us to create up to 15 sensational dishes including: Beef, Pork and Sauerkraut Pork Loin with Dried Apricots and Cherries Beef and Spinach (or Broccoli) Eggplant and Cheese Chicken Cobbler with Carrots, Mushrooms and Peas Lentils & Vegitables Baked Penne Pasta with Chicken, Broccoli and Mushrooms just to name a few!   • Make & Take: 3 Soups

    Did you know that the word “Soup” has history — the word being derived from "sop" or "sup," which consisted of a slice of bread on which broth was poured. Our soups have become more complex and richer than in the past, but on a cold fall day, a warm bowl of soup is restorative. Come and prep 3 different soups (Lasagna, Chicken tortilla and Red lentil) in this class. Soups can be slow cooked, stove top cooked, frozen or divided into smaller portions at home. Bring 3 of the following containers: soup pots, slow cooker, or large 12-14 cup bowls. A cutting board and your favorite chopping knife are also helpful. All soups can be adapted for gluten free or vegan if requested ahead of time.

    This wonderful Norwegian delicacy is made for banquets, holidays, weddings and all special occasions. If you are Norwegian and missed recording Grandma's recipe, tips and techniques - this is the class for you! Note: other nationalities find Lefse delicious too. Learn the fine points in making the dough, baking, storing and of course how to serve Lefse, bonus is a bit of history and humor too. We will begin with real potatoes using a number of authentic recipes and a modern version using instant potatoes. Plan to sample your fresh, warm creations with traditional fillings plus take home finished Lefse and dough to bake then share with family/friends. $9 food fee paid to instructor night of class.
  • Marvelous Macarons

    They are beautiful and so fun to make! Nancy will show you some simple tricks to make the process easy. We will make three different kinds: lovely blueberry, lemon, and pink cherry or strawberry. There will also be some chocolate macarons for you to sample. Students will bake and assemble one recipe from start to finish, as well as decorate and assemble the other two recipes. You will be the talk of the party when you serve these little delicacies! Supply Fee: $13 per student. Payable to instructor the evening of the class.

    Sourdough became popular over the last year as a healthier alternative to regular white or whole wheat bread. Although it has comparable nutrients, the lower phytate levels mean it is more digestible and nutritious. The prebiotics also help to keep your gut bacteria happy, and it may be less likely to spike blood sugar levels. Come to this class and make a dozen sourdough muffins and go home with a small amount of starter to continue making sourdough bread. Bring a quart glass jar with a lid to class.
