The purpose of traditional yoga is for each individual to be healthy, both physically and mentally, and able to reach his or her highest potential as a person. This yoga class focuses on the mind and the body. Beginners are welcome! Participants in this virtual class will perform modified yoga poses while seated in a chair and standing while using the chair as a balance aid. Chair yoga accommodates all fitness levels and is a blend of seated and standing poses to increase strength and flexibility. Combined with a focus on combining breath with movement , this class will provide you with opportunities to slow down and be in the present to discover a life of wellness and balance. Yoga practice will become a way of life that follows you off your chair or mat and into your world. You already possess everything you require to live your most vital and meaningful life… yoga provides the tools and mindset that will help you accomplish that. Class will be held virtually via Zoom. You will receive an email with the link as the class date gets closer. Please dress in comfortable clothes. Feel free to use a yoga mat or towel on the floor during class. There will also be modifications for those who would prefer to use a chair.
