  • Music Together Lakeside

    Nurture your child's inner musician with Music Together®, an international renowned early childhood music and movement program for children ages 0 - 5 and the grown-ups who love them. During this 6-week session of weekly classes we will sing, dance, chant and play instruments in an informal setting with this research-based curriculum. Children learn through play with wide variety of music that will enrich their musical environment and guide them towards a lifetime of music-making enjoyment. They (and you!) will have so much fun with the multicultural music collections, while obtaining all the learning and developmental benefits music offers - especially during the early childhood years, when children are most impressionable.Tuition is $100 for first child and $40 for additional siblings (infant siblings under nine months are free). This includes six 45-minute weekly caregiver and child classes filled with singing, dancing, instrument playing, bonding and pure fun, along with tips on how to enhance your child's music development. Each family also receives a professionally recorded CD, music downloads, access to the Family Music Zone online portal and a newly redesigned illustrated songbook.

    This is an opportunity for high school students to be in a band, choose and play covers of great rock hits from the past and present and even create original music.We are looking for singers, guitarists, keyboardists, bass players, drummers and any other instrument that can be construed as a rock instrument.Performance in late July on a date and venue TBA and at River City Days on Saturday, July 27.
  • Summer Jazz Ensemble

    Learn about America’s original art form and play with a wonderful group of musicians in our summer jazz ensemble.Learn fun music, how to improvise, how to play in a jazz style and perform at Chaska River City Days on Saturday, July 27. Should have at least two years of experience playing a band instrument or guitar, piano, bass, drums or voice.
  • Summer Marching Band

    Learn the basics of street marching, play some fun music, and perform in three fun parades:Chanhassen Independence Day Parade on Thursday, July 4 at 2:30 p.m.; Valleyfair on Monday, July 15 at 10 a.m.; and Chaska River City Days on Sunday, July 27 at 1 p.m.Should have at least one year of experience playing a band instrument.Students will also need to purchase a shirt for $7 and a lyre to hold their music (costs vary between $5-$12).
