    Are you in 4th or 5th grade at Bluff Creek Elementary and love to sing?  Join the Bluff Creek Choir!  In just one morning per week, we'll learn so much great music.   We will have concerts and also carry on the Bluff Creek tradition of singing the National Anthem at a spring Twins Game!   • Choir-Carver Coyotes

    Join Carver Elementary's 4th and 5th grade choir, Carver Coyote Choir! We will be singing songs from all over the world, learning how to use our voices as professional instruments!   • Country/Bluegrass Ensemble

    If you love country or bluegrass music, there is now a group for you. The Country/Bluegrass Ensemble may be your first step to becoming a country superstar. This ensemble learns traditional bluegrass styles and current contemporary country hit songs. Performances are then scheduled to give students a chance to show off their skills. We are looking for singers, guitarists, banjo players, mandolin players, steel guitarists, violinists, bass players, and drummers who have at least one year experience on their instruments. Performances at the CMSW Talent Show on Friday, January 11, The Rock-It! Concert on Friday, February 1 and a closing event in February.  Performances:CMSW Talent Show January 2020, TBDRock-It! Audition material will be available in the PRM, CMSE and CMSW band rooms by Sept. 9. Please don't register for class until audition results have been posted.

    Are you looking to be part of a rock band with people who have the same love of music as you do?Then come be part of the District 112 Garage Band.Since 2004, we have been providing students an innovative rock band experience like none other in the Twin Cities area.  Play or sing everything from classic rock to the newest rock with other musicians who love it as much as you do. We are looking for singers, guitarists, keyboardists, bass players, drummers and brass/sax players who have at least two years experience on their instruments.Performances:CMSW Talent Show                 January 2020, TBDRock-It!     Today's music is dominated by hip hop and techno dance influences. If you have always wanted to learn how to create this music or maybe you already are, come be part of our Hip Hop Electronic program. During this course, you will have the opportunity to DJ, rap, create electronic music, mash hits or create your own, freestyle, scratch and learn the hip hop and techno dance genres. We will also have an opportunity to perform. Come be a part of the fun.

    Are you filled with the Holiday Spirit?  Do you love playing Holiday music?  Well, this band is for you!  Join us for 6 weeks at Chaska Middle School East as we play some fun Holiday music.  We will gather on Wednesdays after school to form the first ever District 112 Holiday Band!  We will go out into the community and do a couple performances to spread cheer throughout Chaska and Chanhassen!

    Jazz band is a great extra-curricular elective where you are able to explore an important American music tradition. You will be exposed to the many styles of jazz influenced music including: the blues, swing, be-bop, Latin-jazz, funk, rock and more! Jazz band is a great way to improve your musicianship skills on your instrument, play different styles of music, and learn about improvisation! ALL BAND INSTRUMENTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN JAZZ BAND! If you play guitar, bass, piano or drum set this is a great opportunity for you to enhance your musicianship on those instruments.     This is an opportunity for 6th graders at West to come and learn about jazz! We will rehearse Tuesdays after school in the band room where we will learn about all of the different styles performed by jazz bands, as well as how to improvise. This is a great opportunity for students to get a taste of what being in a jazz band is like. All instruments are welcome, and will be performing two times!Performances TBD

  • School of Rock

    An introduction to how to become a popular music star. Students learn the basics of playing guitar, piano, bass guitar, drum set, and singing. Students will then form a band where they will choose what songs they would like to learn. No experience on any of these instruments is required. This is not a performance-based class since all students are new to these instruments. The hope is that students will take to one or more of the instruments and pursue opportunities to continue learning after this introduction class.
