Each class will consist of developing all the tennis strokes, conditioning, and singles/doubles strategy through instructor-fed and live-ball drills to further develop the skills which are needed to play on a high school tennis team. Match play opportunities will consist of Wednesday afternoons (home and away matches) from 1-3 pm against other players of similar ability from tennis programs in the western metro area. Transportation to the away matches is not provided but typically arrangements can be made to help with transportation if needed. Matches run from approximately June 16 - Aug 4th. A decision on a match around July 4th will be determined later and final match schedule (home and away) will be provided the week before the session starts. Since we play other teams in the metro area it is important you meet the minimum ability level for this league.   • Backyard Games

    This camp is all about playing America's favorite backyard games for boys and girls ages 5-10. The games will include Wiffle ball, Bocce ball, and Croquet. These fun activities will help your child develop coordination, flexibility and also, beneficial for each child's physical and mental development. Our staff are trained to meet the special needs of young children. All equipment provided.
  • Badminton Camp

    The Sports Unlimited Badminton program is designed to provide beginner and intermediate level players ages 5-10 with the fundamental skills of a sport that is growing in popularity. Participants are taught proper grip, footwork, strokes, volleys, overheads and serves. We will cover the basic rules and etiquette of the game. The camps are based on the philosophy of providing all children with the opportunity to develop sports skills in a fun, safe and non competitive environment. Children will be divided by age and skill level. Please bring a water bottle and a peanut free snack. Staff to camper ratio is 1:8. Due to COVID-19 precautions, only registered participants of activities are allowed in District buildings. Parents are not permitted to enter the facility nor stay to watch practices or activities. Exception: if the participant is 5 years old or younger, one parent may attend. Please keep siblings at home. This class is perfect for those that played in a middle school program, took our older Youth Match Play Class or played on a high school B-Team. It is also ideal for the boy or girl wanting to come out for high school tennis for the first time! The first 90 minutes will consist of developing all tennis strokes, conditioning, and singles/doubles strategy through both instructor-fed and live-ball drills. Just ask one of the staff and we will be happy to tell you! The emphasis of this class is to develop an enthusiasm for the game of tennis. The students in this class range from beginner, to those that have taken previous classes, to those that have been in the middle school program. The focus will be on serving and being able to rally with proper grips and techniques. Increasing the student's athleticism, agility, balance, and fine motor skills will also be a key focal point.   • CHS Dance Team Interval Training/Conditioning

    This class will include a variety of exercises to strengthen the whole body for the dance season. The format will include interval training which will focus on stamina, strength and flexibility. All equipment will be included.
  • Chanhassen Boys Basketball Clinics

    Clinics are designed for skill improvement and are aimed at players who will work hard and want to get better. There will be a focus on the fundamental skills of ball handling, passing, footwork and shooting. We will emphasize skills needed to succeed as a Chanhassen High School player such as setting/using screens, finishing at the rim, spacing and our motion offense concepts. Along with skill work we will play competitive games of 1 on 1, 3 on 3 and 5 on 5. Your child’s health is our number one concern, we will be following guidelines set by MDE, MSHSL and following our preparedness plan developed with the school district.     Storm Youth Basketball Camp is focused on fun, game play, skill development and enjoying the game of basketball. Each day will have skill development, contests and competitive games (3 on 3, 5 on 5). Camp will run by Chanhassen Boys Basketball Head Coach Corey Christopherson, his staff and Storm high school players.   • Chanhassen High School Volleyball Camp

    Teryn Glenn, Chanhassen High School's head volleyball coach, along with Freeze Volleyball presents a Chanhassen High School Camp. This camp is designed to meet the demands of those players at the varsity high school level and beyond. Each camper will be evaluated on her volleyball skill level and athletic ability and will be split up accordingly for a variety of game play and positional drills. Players will be given advanced instruction by highly experienced coaches and learn the skills that the Minnesota Gopher Volleyball team is utilizing. This camp will run at a high intensity and players should be experienced and prepared to work hard. Campers should bring a labeled water bottle and a small snack. Join us this summer and prepare for the upcoming high school volleyball season!   • Chanhassen Youth Dance Team

    The Chanhassen Performance Dance Team is hosting their annual Youth Clinic! Come learn a routine with the dance team and perform at the first Chanhassen home football half time show. Dance Team Coaches and Players will help teach the routine, build skills and technique. Dancers should arrive at 6:40 and meet in the Aerobics room at Chanhassen High School to review and practice the routine. The date of the football game is TBD. Dancers will receive a t-shirt for this camp. Please have dancer bring water bottle, snacks, tennis/dance shoes and wear comfortable clothes.     Teryn Glenn, Chanhassen High School's head volleyball coach, along with Freeze Volleyball presents a Chanhassen Youth Volleyball Camp. Campers will be separated by age and ability level. This camp is designed to introduce youth players to the sport of volleyball while developing solid fundamentals. For older and more experienced players, we will focus on more advanced skills, positional training and game play. Our goal is to be at the forefront of technical skill development and to teach those skills to our players while having fun and developing a lifelong passion for volleyball.     This camp will aim to enhance the skill set of each camper. We will focus on ball handling and shooting drills that will help the athlete improve their scoring and playmaking ability. This camp will be directed by Andrew Martinson, the Chaska High School Varsity Assistant.     These 3-day clinics are designed to improve each player's offensive skills using intense drills. The sessions will be structured to teach players individual and team skills through drill work and competition. Basic skills/fundamentals such as shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, pivoting, and footwork will be taught by our expert coaching staff. This camp will stress hard work and fundamentals. Many of the drills can be used for individual improvement throughout the rest of the off season. Dana Kallman, the Chaska High School Varsity Coach, will direct these camps.     This 3-day camp will provide expert instruction in the fundamentals of the game. It will be structured to teach players individual and team skills through drill work and competition. Basic skills/fundamentals such as shooting, passing, dribbling, rebounding, pivoting, and footwork will be taught by our expert coaching staff. Dana Kallman, the Chaska High School Varsity Coach, will direct these camps. The basketball hoops will be lowered to 8 feet and smaller basketballs will be used. Due to COVID-19 precautions, only registered participants of activities are allowed in District buildings. Parents are not permitted to enter the facility nor stay to watch practices or activities.   • Chaska Boys Soccer Camp

    Sign up for the Chaska HS Boys Soccer Summer camp sessions to prepare for the Fall Season and get to know the coaches and players. This year's curriculum incorporates our traditional Chaska Hawk Technical warm ups, speed and fitness work, and our favorite program building activities. We place a high priority on team chemistry as we want new players to immediately feel like part of the program. We encourage all incoming Freshman to take part to get to know each other and the returning Hawk players before tryouts start. All 7th and 8th graders are welcome to take part in these sessions as well.

    Chaska High School girls basketball staff and players will instruct campers to improve their basketball skills.     Do you have interest in playing quarterback? Do you want to improve your ability to throw the football? Come work with the Chaska football coaches and players on developing skills to help play the quarterback position. We will work on throwing mechanics, footwork, leadership and having fun through competition. .
