No need to look beyond your own kitchen for RESTAURANT QUALITY spring rolls! Whether you are looking to host a memorable Dim Sum get-together or simply want to create something FRESH and BRIGHT to welcome in the spring, this is the class you have been looking for!Join Tess as she walks you through the process of creating two types of spring rolls bursting with a SYMPHONY of flavors bold and bright enough to wake up any and all taste buds. Choice of meat (chicken or pork) & veggies will fill the CRISPY spring rolls, and fresh veggie and precooked protein of choice will fill the FRESH spring rolls. Two types of wrappers will be used. Participants will be able to customize filling ingredients and seasonings according to their taste or dietary preferences. Join in the fun as we dive into the world of spring rolls learning the techniques to create fillings, and how to wrap, roll, and cook these delightful packets of bright deliciousness! Freezing and reheating tips will also be shared! Come join the FUN!
Have your questions answered by the instructor, interact with other participants as you cook-along, and increase your confidence in the kitchen with each skill that is learned, and each little bit of advice and instruction that is shared.While cooking-along is loads of fun, it is optional.
Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow enough time for shopping and preparation. A professionally made PDF packet of the Instructors Personal Recipes from this class will also be received.
This class will take place on ZOOM; free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun!Note: One registration fee for this online virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home / house only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.
Tess Georgakopoulos, also known as “Chef Tess—Culinary Artist”, has been cooking and baking for well over45 years since she was roughly 6 years old. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals usingones senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Herfather was also a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form on the weekends as theycooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with ones own hands and creativitywas, and continues to be an expression of love in her home. As an accomplished cook and baker, Tess enjoyscreating original recipes for her family and friends. Sweet, savory, or doughy, she enjoys experimenting andcreating in the kitchen daily.Tess is proficient and experienced in creating classes and curriculum for conventional cooking, baking,pressure-cooking, air frying, pizza making, Mediterranean Cooking, bread baking, and meal preparation aswell. A Culinary Artist indeed!She has been teaching both in-person and on-line cooking classes through community education for anumber of years having successfully worked with just over 50 public school districts in and around the TwinCities, in many corners of Minnesota, in addition to school districts in Wisconsin, Missouri, New York, andArizona. Through her teaching, Tess has helped people of all skill levels increase their confidence and expandtheir skills in the kitchen reaching heights of their own personal creativity that they never new existed!Always working towards expanding her culinary repertoire, Tess enjoys spending much of her free time in hertest kitchen creating new recipes and reinventing traditional ones using traditional cooking methods and newcooking appliances such as, the Instant Pot® and Air Fryers too.Tess has recently started writing her first cookbook, and her food blog is also in the works!
