This camp will provide opportunities to try outdoor recreation activities like stand-up paddle boarding, archery, campfire cooking, geocaching and more! Additionally, 4H will be leading crafts and educational activities. This camp is focused on the outdoors, experiential adventure learning and all-around summer FUN! Offered in partnership with Carver County Parks and 4H Be prepared for various weather conditions: pack a backpack with towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, bug repellent, ball cap, closed toe shoes, reusable water bottle, snacks, and peanut free bag lunch daily. Youth Stand-up PaddleboardOutdoor EducationAges 10-14 Hit the lake with this new and exciting adventure paddling sport! Born from Hawaiian surf culture, paddleboards can provide a fun method of exploring the lake. This program is designed for beginner-level paddlers. Instruction will start on land with brief water safety, balance tips, and paddling strokes, then head out on the water! All necessary paddling equipment will be provided.
