After School Youth ArcheryOutdoor EducationCalling all archers! This archery class is an opportunity for students of all ability levels to try something new! Proper techniques for stance, aim, and release are taught by trained instructors who utilize experiential learning and creative games to ensure that all archers grow in their abilities- and have fun! Students can go straight to this program after school, PRMS students can ride the Activities Shuttle Bus over to the East/West Campus. All equipment provided. Our instructors provide an interactive ski lesson covering equipment and basic drills for balance, form, and agility. Once trained, master your skills by striding the groomed trails of Lake Minnewashta Regional Park. Participants under the age of 12 should register with a participating adult. Outdoor Winter SamplerOutdoor EducationGet out to Lake Minnewashta Regional Park to try your pick of outdoor activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, kicksledding and geocaching! Carver County Parks instructors will help you get geared up and provide lessons as needed. All equipment is provided and no previous experience is needed! Children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a registered adult. All Covid guidelines will be followed. We've also stagger start times to allow for social distancing while in the park. Winter Day CampOutdoor EducationWaitlistIf your child misses being outdoors in the winter, this camp is their outdoor escape! Participants will enjoy one full day of great winter recreation activities like snowshoeing, kicksledding, shelter building & group games in this unique winter day camp. Instructors with the Carver County Parks Department will teach outdoor activities covering how- to safety and equipment terminology. This camp is based primarily outdoors and campers should come prepared with a peanut free lunch, water bottle, warm layered clothing & boots.Winter/Spring 2021

Youth Geocaching and S'moresOutdoor EducationWe're looking for aspiring treasure hunters to join us on a quest for treasure - s'mores! After a brief training on the history and use of GPS navigation, participants use GPS units to seek out secret caches hidden throughout Lake Minnewashta Regional Park. Finish the class by cooking a s'more over a bonfire. All equipment provided. This program is offered in partnership with Carver County Parks.Winter/Spring 2021
