Not Me! Training for WomenAn adult is strongly encouraged to attend with their student.Whether college-bound or pursuing other opportunities, is your daughter well prepared to leave home? One in four women will face a sexual assault in their lifetime, usually before the age of 24. It is frightening to consider, but even scarier to ignore. We don't want to think about our daughters being the potential victim of an assault, but it is our responsibility to prepare her for what has become a national problem.Girls ages 15-18 are strongly encouraged to attend with mother/trusted female. "Not Me!" is a class founded by former Navy SEAL, Al Horner and is based on Horner's book with the same title which provides information and tools to avoid potentially dangerous situations. The hands-on training also teaches young women to escape from situations that cannot be avoided while parking, walking, driving, traveling and using public transportation. This covers real-world situations and is highly regarded by companies and schools across Minnesota and the United States. This is not a martial arts class, yet there is some physical movement. The majority of class is spent in lecture. Please register each participant separately. Dress comfortably, and bring signed waiver, water bottle and notebook. To learn more about "Not Me!" visit www.notmetraining.comFor further questions regarding content of class, please contact Heidi Nauman, 612-708-3676 or firstname.lastname@example.org"I thought this was just going to be an interesting opportunity to learn some self-defense moves.
