    Are you able to thread your machine and change basic settings?  If so, you are ready for this Beyond the Basics series!  In this class, we will learn the basics of simple alterations that will extend the life of your garments and create a fit just for you.  Topics include hemming, repairing holes, and repurposing your garments.  Samples will be provided for practice during class.  You are also welcome to bring your own projects for guidance and practice.  
  • Sewing Beyond the Basics: Batting and Bias Tape

    Are you able to thread your machine and change basic settings?  If so, you are ready for this Beyond the Basics series!  In this class, we will use cotton fabric, batting and bias tape to create a fun fabric organizer for pens, pencils, scissors, markers, paint brushes and more!  It slips inside a coffee mug and makes a great gift!
  • Sewing Beyond the Basics: Zippers!

    Are you able to thread your machine and change basic settings?  If so, you are ready for this Beyond the Basics series!  In this class, we will use our zipper foot to create a zippered cosmetic bag!  Learn tips and tricks for successful zipper insertion.
