Beginning & Intermediate PotteryHave you ever wanted to learn how to make your own pottery or clay projects? Learn how to throw on the wheel in this laid back studio atmosphere. Beginners will be introduced to the potters wheel and start by creating bowls, cups and other basic forms. Intermediate learners will expand their skills and techniques with more advanced forms and demonstrations. Every student will leave with finished projects that are functional, food safe and an original work of art. $17 materials fee for the 1st bag of clay. Students buy more if needed.
String ArtJoin us for a fun new workshop! We'll be sanding and staining a 12"x12" board and then nailing and stringing the letter of your choice (Please note letter choice at time of registration).Optional: Add your 'Family Name' or an 'Established Date' with paint stencil at the end. (Please note exactly what you'd like you stencil to say-double check spelling and capitalization!!)
Working with Acrylics & Water MediumsThis class runs for 5 sessions. Please excuse the misprint in the catalog. All levels of experience including beginners are welcome. This course offers the opportunity to explore the acrylic medium. Choices are paint on canvas, watercolor, watercolor mixed with other compatible mediums and collage. Work with subjects you choose, at your own pace and painting style. Instructor brings idea file to work from or bring your own. Repeating this course will continue to hone skills. A materials list will be emailed before the start of class. Sara has extensive teaching experience, holds a BFA through MCAD and owns a gallery.
