Italian Pizzelles are also baked on the top of the stove using an iron but are a flat, anise-flavored cookies sometimes flavored with vanilla. The chewy, almond Swedish Sandbakkels are delicate golden brown in color and are baked in tiny tins to resemble tarts. Finally, we will master deep fried Rosettes-those exceedingly fragile, paper thin Scandinavian delicacies dusted with confectioners' sugar. Expect great recipes plus the many tips and techniques that will make your baking a success! Please bring containers to bring your creations safely home. $14 food fee paid to instructor at class.

    Royal Icing & Stuffed Cookies Workshop Back by popular demand are Tess' Magical Cheesecake & Brownie Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies, in addition to her ever-popular Holiday Cookie Bake & Decorate class where participants learn the foundations of decorating cookies with Royal Icing. If you are looking to start a new holiday cookie baking and decorating tradition and looking for a NEW SPECTACULAR COOKIE to add to your holiday celebrations, look no further. Participants will be baking the cookies for decorating ahead of time so that they are ready to decorate at the start of class. A PDF with two of the instructors' personal sugar cookie recipes and a list of ingredients/supplies needed for the royal icing will be provided prior to class starting to provide time for shopping and baking. Use any cookie cutters you like! No fancy decorating tips or bags will be needed. The packet will also include ingredients required for the STUFFED COOKIES that we will be creating together during the class. This class will take place on ZOOM; free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun! Note: One registration fee for this online virtual interactive class can include immediate family members living full-time in the same home / house only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.
  • Japanese Miso Ramen From Scratch! (Virtual)

    This class is not about instant ramen. In fact, we will be making Japanese miso ramen from scratch. We will start with making ramen noodles from scratch. Then, we’ll braise cha shu chicken and make miso broth. We will serve our ramen with marinated soft-boiled eggs and different toppings. Class takes place on Zoom. Please have a current email on file with us. If you need to cancel one of Ploy's classes and you have already been sent a recipe for the class, we will not be able to issue a refund. You may contact us about transferring your registration to a different participant for the class.

    This wonderful Norwegian delicacy is made for banquets, holidays, weddings and all special occasions. If you are Norwegian and missed recording Grandma's recipe, tips and techniques - this is the class for you! Note: other nationalities find Lefse delicious too. Learn the fine points in making the dough, baking, storing and of course how to serve Lefse, bonus is a bit of history and humor too. We will begin with real potatoes using a number of authentic recipes and a modern version using instant potatoes. Plan to sample your fresh, warm creations with traditional fillings plus take home finished Lefse and dough to bake then share with family/friends. $9 food fee paid to instructor night of class.

All the stresses of the day seem to melt away with the smell of freshly made soup that brings smiles to the entire family. In this class, you will choose one soup for your cook-along and watch a demonstration of the other-or choose to make them both! Both soups pair perfectly with the homemade baguettes we will make from scratch. No Instant Pot? No problem! The instructor will make one soup in the Instant Pot and the other on the stovetop.
