    What is Camp Invention? Who: Curious kids entering grades K-6. What: A confidence-boosting STEM summer camp where kids build creative inventions and lasting friendships.   • Drone Racing

    Students will learn how to fly like the pros in the Drone Racing League by training on a flight simulator. Once they learn the basics of flying, they’ll assemble their very own drone which they’ll get to keep after the camp. After learning drone safety and maintenance, students will take their drone to the skies and compete in numerous races and challenges. Led by experienced instructors, students will leave camp with the skills and knowledge to pilot their drones and keep them running. The drones used in camps have cameras, and are perfect for entry level pilots. *Choose to borrow a Drone or purchase your own at a discounted rate! The SkyLens Drone will also work for this camp. **It is preferred for students not to bring their drone from home.   • Extreme Robotics: Battlebots

    This camp will energize and excite students by combining the LEGO® building system's versatility and the Mindstorms EV3 (the most sophisticated microcomputer brick ever made by LEGO®). Working each day in teams, students will construct fun LEGO® models, experiment with programs, and compete in robotic challenges. Robot building, block programming, and teamwork will be part of each day's activities. The final challenges will be centered around hitting targets and a sumo battle. Students will be working in small teams of 2-3.     There has been an amazing discovery! Paleontologists have just uncovered a million-year-old dig site that is full of fossils! These fossils include dinosaur bones, imprints, eggs, and more! Your help is needed to excavate these fossils and move them to museums for kids all over the world to learn about. In these lessons, students will learn about engineering, mathematics, dinosaurs and fossils as they work as paleontologists and engineers.
