Microsoft AccessAccess is one of the most popular and powerful relational databases on the market. This class covers the initial design, creation and entry of data into a database; the design and creation of numerous types of queries to extract data from the database; and the generation of professional-looking reports to present the data. Note: There will be a 30 minute lunch break. Please bring a bag lunch and drink.Some typing experience is assumed as this is a hands-on class.
Microsoft Excel Formulas and FunctionsFunctions are nothing more than built-in-formulas, and Excel has hundreds of them! This class will concentrate on some of the more popular functions, including statistical (average, max, min), financial (pmt), logical (if, and, or), lookup (vlookup) and a few more. Prerequisite: Intro to Excel or equivalent experience.
Microsoft PublisherLearn the ins and outs of Microsoft's powerful desktop publishing software. After a general overview of Publisher, we'll create a 4-page newsletter, working with columns, pull quotes, drop caps, graphics, photos, borders, shading, table of contents, and more. Many of these skills can then be applied to flyers, brochures, cards, invitations, certificates, calendars and more.
