  • Artemis Camp

    Ages 8-14Does your daughter want to be a archer as famous as Katniss Everdeen, skillful as Artemis or just want to put Robin Hood in his place?  Then this camp is her place to train and make new archery friends!  Through fun games and experiential learning, participants will learn range safety and proper techniques for stance, aim, and release to improve their shot.  Campers will get the opportunity to shoot both compound and recurve bows at various target styles.  All equipment is provided.  Campers should come prepared for the weather conditions and should pack a backpack with snacks, reusable water bottle, sunscreen, hat or sun glasses, snack, and close-toed shoes. All other necessary equipment will be provided. Meet at shelter #4. This camp will be held outdoors at Lake Minnewashta Park and is a partnership between Carver County Parks.
  • Beginner Archery Camp

  • Horse Day Camp

    The camp focus is on providing a safe, fun experience for kids who have an interest in horses. The stable provides a great setting for age appropriate horse activities that include riding, caring for horses, games, crafts and having fun! Join us for one or all three!  Bring a water bottle and peanut free lunch and wear heeled shoes/boots. Please see the following schedule:June 12: Parents will be responsible for drop off and pick up at Camp.   • Little Explorers Nature Hike

    Does your little explorer love to play in the woods?  This nature hike will take you and your little one out on the trails starting from the Riverside Park in Carver to learn about nature hands on, guided by a trained instructor.  You never know what you'll find when you pause for a moment to really look!  Offered in partnership with Carver County Parks.  Please register with your child's name.  An adult must attend with a child.
  • Little Lumberjacks Camp

    Ages 6-10Experience Minnesota History firsthand with logrolling & lumberjack-themed activities!  Roll your way into the past as a Minnesota lumberjack.  Also enjoy general summer camp fun at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park!  Offered in partnership with Carver County Parks and the Historical Society.  Please pack a peanut free bag lunch, snacks & a beverage. Students should also be equipped with close-toed shoes, a backpack, reusable water bottle, hat, sunscreen and bug spray. Bring a swim suit and towel.
  • Minnesota River Canoe Trip

    Come on a great Mark Twain style adventure complete with canoes and a sandbar picnic!  Carver County Parks Department instructors will guide you from Jordan to Chaska on a quiet 10-mile stretch of the Minnesota River.  Expect to see many birds species and enjoy your packed lunch on a sandbar leg stretching break!  Never been canoeing?  No problem- trained instructors will provide paddling and safety instruction before launching.  Youth ages 12-15 must register with a paid adult.  Participants will meet at Winkel Park and be shuttled to Jordan where we will begin our trip!

  • Traveling Archery Camp

    Ages 10-15Get your archers outdoors this summer for our three-day Traveling Archery Camp!  Through fun games and experiential learning, our instructors will guide participants in improving their shooting techniques for hitting the target consistently.  Camp will include field trips to multiple archery ranges in the local area.  This camp is designed for youth with some prior archery experience.  All necessary equipment will be provided. Campers should come prepared for the weather conditions and should pack a backpack with snacks, reusable water bottle, hat or sun glasses and close-toed shoes. This camp is based outdoors and is a partnership between Carver County Parks.
  • Youth Stand-up Paddleboard

    Ages 8-14Hit the lake with this new and exciting adventure paddling sport!  Born from Hawaiian surf culture, paddleboards can provide a fun method of exploring the lake.  This program is designed for beginner-level paddlers.  Instruction will start on land with brief water safety, balance tips, and paddling strokes, then head out on the water!  All necessary paddling equipment will be provided.  Participants should come prepared to get wet.  In partnership with Carver County Parks.
