Crepe Paper Japanese Anemone
Japanese Anemone are a fun flower and very adaptable to different color palettes. Wendy will explain the basics of crepe paper and the different types. You will learn cutting templates, forming petals and coloring with alcohol inks along with making appropriate foliage. At the end of class you will have a finished stem in a vase to bring home.
Wendy Middaugh, began making sugarpaste flowers 12 years ago.Studied with some of the most famous chefs in the sugar arts community.While looking for another challenge, came across a YouTube tutorial for crepe paper rose. Noticing many of the same techniques were used, began exploring this medium and was hooked.
Has recently started a home based business specializing in custom floral arrangements.
Received 4th place in Paper Sculpture Division in the 2018 Minnesota State Fair.
