Chalk Talks is a new community conversation series that features speakers who discover, explore and present big ideas. These fun, short, TED-style talks aim to spark productive conversation and promote advancement in our community.
This event features two speakers:
Anna Edlund; Gifted Services & STEAM Lab Facilitator, Bluff Creek Elementary School-
Think Outside: In education, it is important to invite children to think outside themselves, think outside the school building and into the greater community, and to "think outside" in the natural world. These experiences encourage our children to invest in their learning and, ultimately, become educated local and global citizens. Learn about three innovative initiatives in ECCS and why they make a difference to us all.
Jake Jauert; Teacher, Clover Ridge Elementary
Academics in Motion: Jake will share how he incorporates movement into his classroom and the growth he has seen in his students as a result. How can you incorporate movement into daily tasks to foster learning?
