Country/Bluegrass Ensemble

Grades 6-8

If you love country or bluegrass music, there is now a group for you. The Country/Bluegrass Ensemble may be your first step to becoming a country superstar. This ensemble learns traditional bluegrass styles and current contemporary country hit songs. Performances are then scheduled to give students a chance to show off their skills. We are looking for singers, guitarists, banjo players, mandolin players, steel guitarists, violinists, bass players, and drummers who have at least one year experience on their instruments. Performances at the CMSW Talent Show on Friday, January 12, The Rock-It! Concert on Friday, February 2 and a closing event in February.

Audition is required.

Auditions will be held on Monday, Oct. 9 in the CMSW Band Room at 3:50 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the PRMS Band Room at 3:50 p.m

Students should choose one of these dates. No sign up is necessary to audition. Audition material will be available in the PRMS, CMSE and CMSW band rooms by Sept. 11.

Please don’t register for class until audition results have been posted.
