Are you looking to be part of a rock band and just can’t find the people, place to rehearse or music? Then come be part of the District 112 Garage Band. Since 2004, we have been providing students an innovative rock band experience like none other in the Twin Cities area. Play or sing everything from classic rock to the newest rock with other musicians who love it as much as you do. We are looking for singers, guitarists, keyboardists, bass players, drummers and horn players who have at least two years experience on their instruments.
Performances at Chaska Rocks Toys For Tots on Saturday, December 9, the CMSW Talent Show on Friday, January 12, the Rock-It! Concert on Friday, February 2 and a closing event in February.
Audition is required. Auditions will be held on Monday, October 9 in the CMSW Band Room at 3:50 pm and Wednesday, October 11 in the PRM Band Room at 3:50 p.m.
Students should choose one of these dates. No sign up is necessary to audition. Audition material will be available in the PRMS, CMSE, and CMSW band rooms by Sept. 11. Please don't register for class until audition results have been posted.

Eric has been a music teacher in Eastern Carver County Schools since 1997. In 2007, he was named District 112's Teacher of the Year. He has grown the after school and summer music programs into thriving, exciting opportunities for students.
Heidi has always loved to sing, act and dance. She began studying the piano at age 5 and the violin at age 10. In 2000, Heidi graduated from the University of Northwestern – Saint Paul with a degree in Vocal Music Education.
Heidi has been teaching private music lessons for over 15 years. Her other experiences include teaching 7th grade choir & general music, early childhood music classes, string ensemble and girls’ choir. Heidi also assists with the Garage Band, School of Rock, and Music Production classes for middle school students. Heidi performs for weddings and occasionally leads worship.
Heidi spends most of her time caring for (and cleaning up after) her 8-year-old son and a 3-year old daughter. When she does have free time, she enjoys sewing, shopping and reading. She also enjoys writing and recording music and still dreams of recording a CD!
